Satoru Iwata dies at 55

It's with a heavy heart that I relay the news Nintendo has just released: The president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, has died at age 55 due to a bile duct growth. I'm not too surprised to hear of this, honestly. Iwata had been reported to have health problems many times before, even missing some events because of them. While more involved with the sales and representation of the company, Iwata brought smiles to millions of faces with his humor. He was a man who really loved entertaining others and took great pride in his company. Iwata was a genuine and funny man and it's sad to hear he's gone. Age 55 is considered young by today's standards...

One thing is for certain: the Nintendo family has suffered a great loss. I send my condolences out to Iwata's family and friends in this hard time. May he not be forgotten for all the joy he's spread worldwide. But while this is depressing news, let us not forget memories forged by Iwata's efforts and antics.
