Hey all you NintyFans~!
Sorry for keeping you all waiting, but now here is the long awaited contest!
I've been reading the contest ideas you've all been giving out, and it seems
like everyone wanted a Super Smash bros related contest, so we decided
to have this theme, and is also the best we could think up!
Contest theme: Super Smash bros
Aim: Draw a character you would want for the next Smash bros game! Make sure
it's a character from Nintendo, and do not try characters from previous Smash bros games!
Give them a great moveset!
Rules:
1 entry per person.
You must be a member to enter.
Enter into our competition folder.
Winners will be judged by the Founder (so our admin team can participate too this way!).
Prize donators can still participate in the competition!
Competition runs for a month, until the 20th August.
Deadline: 20th August 2013 at 9pm (UK time-please use a time conversion tool to check your local time at this point!)

Art Prompt
I wanted to do a contest but I don't have the time. As a result I kind of scrapped the idea. I've decided to launch it as a prompt since I feel like it's a fairly good topic overall. Most of us know by now that the President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime is set to retire very soon. Reggie has had a very, very strong impact on Nintendo. The man has pretty much molded Nintendo into what it's become today. Not sure how much he's done? Take a look:

As a tribute and send off to such a great man, I think it's only fitting that our prompt is about Reggie.
Reggie Fils-Aime Set to Retire in April
Today the President of Nintendo of America announced his retirement in April. He's in good health and made the decision on his own accord to spend more time with his family and loved ones, so at least there's no tragic story attached to this. Doug Bowser will be taking Reggie's place once the legend himself retires, and while I welcome Doug to the position, I can say with certainty that Reggie will be missed by fans everywhere.
His official announcement came in the form of a video which can be viewed below:

Changes to the Smash Bros Folder
EDIT: A new Smash folder has been made and the old one deleted. Several deviations were carried over but given the sheer amount of devs to look at (as well as many being nearly 10 years old), I figured it was easiest to remake the folder. It is open to submissions and you can find it under the name, "Super Smash Bros." /EDIT
There will be some changes to the Smash Bros folder to help ensure that it meets its quality standard and retains relevancy to the series. For a while the mods and I have battled on what should and shouldn't be accepted into the folder. It was a constant battle of what does and doesn't represent the series or retain rele
Concerning Bowsette fanart
A new internet sensation has popped up and we're definitely aware of it. Bowsette, which is Bowser with the Super Crown power up, has become wildly popular. This is just a reminder that if you submit any fanart of this character that it needs to be clean and PG rated to be acceptable here. We're seeing some that are going against the rules and therefore we're having to decline them.
